Advisory Partner-John Skjeveland brings more than 18 years of accounting, auditing, and other financial experience to the table at Skjeveland, Gerloff & Associates, LLC (SGA). After graduating from Gallaudet University in 1993 with a B.S. in Business Administration, John quickly immersed himself in a succession of progressively more responsible positions within various organizations. Starting as Business Manager for TDI, Inc.--a national advocacy organization for telecommunications access--John moved on to become Controller at D.E.A.F, Inc. in Minnesota, a service-provider agency. After serving as Staff Auditor at Gallaudet University, he started working at CSD, a national service provider based in South Dakota. There, he moved through the ranks from Director of Program Accounting to Controller and finally to Chief Financial Officer for 3 years. During this time, John also earned his CPA--in 2004.
Acting on his lifelong passion to see others succeed financially with the right tools (he volunteered his time as Board Treasurer for the 2007 Deaflympics in Salt Lake City), John set out with Randy Gerloff to establish SGA. This CPA firm is dedicated to providing various services with an underlying commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and quality.
When he is not working or spending time with his cherished wife, 4 beautiful children and 2 dogs (Labradoodle & Toy Poodle), John loves to golf and to run--succeeding in a number of organized races.

Randy's passion is to see others succeed in this changing world. "I try to be more than a number cruncher and the ultimate goal is to provide more benefit to our clients than the cost of our services. Accounting and taxes can be confusing but we try to turn confusion into comprehension."
